Audio note dictation in I, Librarian

If you prefer to record your thoughts as audio notes, our software provides a built-in audio recorder for this purpose. Pro users can access it in the Audio notes section of an individual item view. The recorder allows you to pause and resume your notes. After you press the Stop button, you can play your recording back before you save it. Your audio will be saved as a WebM file, but can be converted to mp3, if you require compatibility with external audio devices or Safari, which cannot play WebM format as of this time.

Our audio recorder is based on Javascript web APIs and requires no web browser extensions or other software installation. It works in most newer web browsers with the exception of Safari (2020).
